USA Road Trip - Week 1 (part 2)

Day four took us through Ottawa so I could show Marc where I spent my semester abroad.  It was also an opportunity for me to make Marc eat some traditional Canadian "food".

From Ottawa we made our way to Hamilton to catch up with Eileen, a friend from my Ottawa days.  She very kindly put us up in her mansion for the night.

The next day we headed towards Niagara Falls with a slight detour through the super cute town of Niagara on the Lake.  After we oohh'ed and ahhh'ed at the falls we got back in the car and headed back across the border to Cleveland.

Unfortunately we didn't get in to Cleveland until after 5pm so we were unable to check out the famed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Cleveland skyline.  Looks almost as big as Canberra!

Our awesome set up minutes before it started pouring rain.
Day 6 of our first week on the road was spent pretty much solely on the road.  We drove from Cleveland to Chicago and arrived just before another massive storm hit.

We couldn't drive past here without stopping!

Obviously a little excited by my purchases

Luckily the weather cleared up for our day of sightseeing and baseball.  We checked out Millenium Park and wandered around the city before making our way to Wrigley Field to watch our first baseball game.

It was a pretty big first week on the road.  Stay tuned for more photos out of the car window!
